Canoeing the Yukon River retracing the route of the Klondike Gold Rush, Canada
Yukon-River-Canoe-018.jpg
Yukon Territory, Canada, September 2014. Our campsite on Hootalinqua Island (Shipyard Island) is home to the wreck of the paddlewheeler steamer Evelyn, left behind during the Gold Rush. During this Yukon River canoe trip we paddled part of the Klondike Gold Rush route of 1898. We camped on the banks of the Yukon River in authentic northern wilderness and explored the gold rush relics on the way. Photo by Frits Meyst / MeystPhoto.com
