Bozukkale, Bozburun, Turkey, October 2015. After hitching a ride with a fisherman and his wife, we hike from Bozukkale (Loryma) back to Bozburun. Situated roughly between the seaside resorts of Marmaris and Bodrum and the Latmos mountains in the east lies Ancient Caria. The Carian Trail runs through pine scented forests along the coastal mountains of Western Turkey and is littered with ancient ruins, secluded coves with turquoise waters and little villages. more than 800km of ancient roads, shepherd paths and forest trails form Turkey's longest hiking trail.
