Silver City, Yukon Territory, Canada, September 2014. Silver City was a small community in the early 1900s with a trading post and included North West Mounted Police barracks. The ghost town enjoyed a brief resurgence during construction of the Alaska Highway, then was abandoned again. With scenic drives in abundance, the Yukon Territory is a driver’s dream. The territory boasts a network of well-maintained highways leading through an exhilarating combination of postcard scenery, historic communities, cultural attractions and adventure outings. The Yukon Territory received world fame during the Klondike Gold Rush in 1898.
